what you do doesn’t define who you are; who you are defines what you do.

Here’s what happens with this doctrine, that shouldn’t.

All of a sudden, the guys that believe this, think they’re part of this tiny little club. Like God’s overarching will is just to save a couple of people & they’re that couple of people & the rest of us are all…….

But the message of Reformed Theology is that God saves! That God wants to save! Not that He wants to damn but that He wants to save. It’s backwards. They get it backwards. & so then you get arrogant, usually 20-somethings, who walk with a swagger and beat the crap out of everybody theologically. I just can’t stand them.

Or they’ve just got these incisive, constant, blogs where they just want to breakdown everybody’s everything & show everyone’s error. & so I’m not a big fan of the Reformed community. I’m just not. But I can’t get away from the fact that these are biblical (doctrines) and I believe this should produce a monumental amount of humility & patience with everyone.

I MISS YOU

MISS YOU MORERERER.

Eu te amo muito

…er…i love you.

realization.

i’m never going to be famous. or rich. i’ll never own a Mercedes. i’ll never live in a mansion. my name won’t ever be spoken among large crowds of people. i’ll never be at a bag awards show. i won’t ever release a chart topping song. i won’t win an Oscar, or Emmy, or another assorted award. i won’t run a fortune 500 company. i won’t be a surgeon. i’ll never own a clothing line. i won’t ever have a six figure salary. i won’t be a model. or an artist. or a musician. or an author. i won’t shop at fancy stores. i won’t own a pair of $300 jeans. i won’t drink fancy drinks, or eat fancy foods. i won’t retire at 35 and take up golfing. i won’t ever own more than 5 suits. or a briefcase. i won’t sit down and find the cure for cancer. i won’t find a source of renewable energy. i won’t solve global warming, nor will i be here when it is solved. i won’t have a huge wedding with hundreds or people. my wife won’t have a huge studded ring. my kids won’t drive brand new cars. hell, i won’t drive brand new cars. i won’t do any of this.

but i know that i’ll make a difference. i’ll follow God eternally and take up a job as a pastor. i’ll mentor youth, with God’s help, and set them on the right path. i’ll marry young. i’ll be in debt my whole life. i won’t have the biggest house, but a comfy one. i’ll buy my wife a nice ring. we’ll have a wedding with our closest friends and family. we’ll raise kids. we’ll teach them to be humble, and polite, and to love God. we’ll teach them the languages we speak. how to walk. how to ride a bike. from early on they’ll develop beliefs in where God will be their first priority. and they’ll be smart. maybe not first in their class, 100%, perfect student. but they’ll be close. they’ll be hyperactive kids who’ll love to be outside. me and wifey will teach them well. i’ll be in love with her when i’m 24, 32, 57, 84, and 100 years old. i’ll die being in love with her. i’ll wear jeans until the day i can’t walk. i won’t ever retire from teaching about how amazing God is. that’ll be a full-time life commitment. i won’t be the perfect husband, or dad. but i swear i’ll try everyday to be the best that i can. i’ll be a loving father, and a faithful husband. and most importantly, i’ll be happy. humble and happy.

i think i’m going to love my life.

i find her so attractive.

i find her so attractive.
